Different type of connections are used for measurement of voltage and current.

Below are the connection types used for measurement:

1. Separate Voltage/Current Connection

In this type of connection, voltage and current are measured using separate pathways. This method provides accurate measurements by eliminating interference between the voltage and current measurement circuits.

2. Source Load Connection

The source load connection method involves connecting the measuring instrument between the power source and the load. This configuration is commonly used for power measurements where both voltage and current need to be monitored simultaneously.

3. Connection using Separate CT

Current Transformers (CTs) are used to measure high currents safely. In this connection method, a separate CT is used to isolate the current measurement circuit from the main power circuit, providing both safety and accuracy.
